Jawad Rizwan
President
Hello everyone! My name is Jawad Rizwan and I am the President of the Aerospace Course Union (ACU) for the 2023 to 2024 academic term. I am going into my third year of study this term and will be specializing in the aircraft stream.
From a young age, I have always held a fascination for aircaft and I love learning about how they work. I am someone who is actively involved in the TMU aerospace community. Previously, I held the position of Aerospace Director for the Metropolitan Undergraduate Engineering Society (MUES). In addition to being ACU President, I am currently the Tail Lead for the Toronto Met Aero Design (TMAD) team. My main goal as President this year is to deliver quality social, academic and professional events and initiatives that help to improve your overall university experience. Hi TMU! My name is Shayaan (he/him) and I’m your ACU VP Operations for this year. I’m going into my third year of aero and depending on how this ages, will be going into the aircraft stream. Although I’m new to the team, I’m largely passionate about repping my community, so I’m extremely excited to pump out aero merch for y’all all year long. Hi, my name is Shankavie (she/her) and I’m the VP Communications on ACU. I’m going into my second year of Aerospace Engineering. I’m passionate about advocating for sustainable living and advancements. My goal is to one day become an astronaut and an entrepreneur seeking to create elevation geared towards sustainable transportation. Fun facts about me are I’m a virgo, a photographer/videographer and a competitive musician and dancer. VP Education
Hey there! I am Ahmad Ziad, your VP of education for this year. I am starting my 4th Aerospace year in the Spacecraft stream. I am also passionate about computers and software; that’s why I’m pursuing a minor in Computer Science as well. Education and teaching were always significant interests of mine. I enjoy helping students by tutoring, group-working, and archiving any learning resources I pass by.
If you ever face any learning hardships or would like extra learning resources or tutorials, I am the person to reach. I will also be working on providing exam and midterm study sessions, as well as CATIA and MATLAB workshops to help you nurture your academic and engineering practical knowledge. Very excited to work with everyone and be of help to advance the knowledge of my fellow Aerospace friends!

Hi everyone! My name is Rochelle (she/her) and last year I was the VP Outreach but this year I’ll be the VP Strategic Development for the ACU! I’m going into my third year of aerospace engineering, leaning towards the aircraft or spacecraft stream, and it’s quite the journey so far. Other than watching planes go overhead or looking up to space (and drowning in assignments), I enjoy anime, nature, and anything weather or geology related :>.
