Hi I’m Naman and I’m in my third year of Aerospace Engineering at Ryerson and this year I’m your president. Since I read all there is to know about the universe and I’m constantly looking up at the stars, I hope to pursue the spacecraft stream. I enjoy working out, sleeping, getting things done as fast as possible, and more sleeping. I have no idea what I’m doing yet but I’m determined to make sure all 4 years are supported by the ACU so we can all accomplish great things. I currently do Boxing, Muay Thai, Jiu jitsu, wrestling, and gymnastics. I plan to be involved in many other teams and clubs in the following years and I’m super excited to meet all of you!

Hey! My name is Natalie, I’m going into my fourth year of aerospace engineering, and I will be your VP Ops for this year. I am currently in the aircraft stream but am still unsure what exactly I want to do after graduating, I’m hoping that experience at an internship will clear that up. Other than stressing about school, I love to paint, bike, embroider, bake (pretty much anything your grandma enjoys so do I). This year I really want to bring y’all some great merch, whether it be some amazing sweaters or a cool patch, I want to make sure you will really love it.

Name’s Ninaad, I am a 3rd year Aerospace Student and my role this year is Vice President Finance. Aviation and military aircrafts have always fascinated me. I am originally from Northern B.C, moved to Toronto just to pursue my passion in designing and studying aircrafts. This past summer, I was fortunate to land an internship and realized, Project Management is also one of the things I love. During my free time, I love to work on my car, go camping and explore the countryside. I also enjoy cooking and try to make new recipes whenever I get a chance. Initially, when I joined Ryerson, I was planning on taking the aircraft stream, but as of right now, I am leaning towards Avionics. My main goal this year for ACU is to secure as much funding as possible to run many events to increase the community’s exposure to different things like the industry as well as their fellow peers.

Hey guys! I’m Adrian, going into my third year of aerospace engineering and will be the VP Student Life for the 2020/21 academic year. I will be in charge of coordinating events for all the aerospace students. I am always open to creating new friendships and eager to hear what you guys want to do for this year. COVID has hit us hard however it gives us no reason to enjoy this coming year. A little bit about myself, I have played 14 years of competitive soccer but I’m a huge nerd so you’ll get me watching Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter or Star Wars. The stream I plan on studying is Spacecraft Robotics. I have a love for space and the voyages we can experience in space. I recently finished my summer internship at MDA working in the Guidance, Navigation and Controls department working with the likes of CSA, NASA and SpaceX so if there are any questions anyone has about the field please don’t hesitate to ask.

Airplanes have always fascinated me and making something that flies just seemed super cool. I was born and raised in Kerela, India and moved to Canada in 2010, meaning I have spent half of my life in Canada and the other half in India. I am in the aircraft stream and I am looking forward to studying more about it. I am a very active person and enjoy being outdoors. During my free time I enjoy playing all kinds of sports including soccer, volleyball, basketball, and ultimate frisbee. Hii everyone, I’m Mishran and I am ACU’s Vice President Education for the year of 2020-2021. I will be responsible for hosting academic events this year, as well as helping you guys with any academic related matter. I am in my 3rd year of Aerospace Engineering and planning on pursuing the spacecraft stream as I am obsessed with rockets and space exploration. Other than trying to survive the course load, I love playing video games, working out and trying to manage a social life. Wasiq Ahmed (aka Sugar Baba) is a 4th year avionics student. He is the VP strategic development for the year 2020-2021. Wasiq is passionate about cellphones, airplanes and cars. He has watched “The Office” 7 times and aims to pump those numbers up. He firmly believes that pineapples belong on pizza. He wants to become a jet-fighter pilot and wants to run his own business in the future.

Furthermore, Wasiq’s goal this year is to raise awareness for mental health, especially amongst engineering students. He is enthusiastic about the opportunity to give back to the aerospace community and excited to help fellow students succeed by representing their needs and ideas. Hi everyone!! I’m Simona (she/her), I’m in third year aerospace and I’m this year’s upper year rep! A little about me, growing up I did ballet and studied vocal music, and later went to an arts high school! So you’re probably wondering how I ended up in engineering right? Well it’s a little out of spite. When I was in the second grade a boy told me girls that couldn’t be astronauts, I thought that was absurd and inaccurate but it’s 12 years later and here I am 🙂

Hi everyone! I’m Alexia Economou (she/her), currently in my first year of aerospace, and will be the first year rep for this year! As a kid, I always had a fascination for space, which grew the older I got. I started watching documentaries, reading books, and even managed to visit the Kennedy Space Center in Florida to meet a few of the astronauts. Some fun things about me are that I enjoy rewatching movies and tv shows an unhealthy amount of times, I love anything to do with weather or natural disasters, and my favourite sport to play is volleyball.
